Waiver Services Spotlight

From the beginning, Sky Point has been proud to offer Waiver Services to individuals on the Family Supports Waiver (FSW) and Community Integration and Habilitation (CIH) Waiver. These waivers were created by the State of Indiana to allow an alternative to individuals who were previously placed in institutions and state hospitals. These waivers allow individuals with disabilities to receive the support they need to live full and enriching lives in their homes and communities. Each waiver offers a wide variety of services, tailored to meet the needs of each individual. Below you will see the services that Sky Point offers for both waiver.

Services offered:

  • Behavior Management (BMAN)

  • Participant Assistance and Care (PAC)

  • Respite Services (RSPO)

  • Residential Services (RHS, non-24/7)

  • Day Habilitation- Individual (DHI)

  • Extended Services (EXT)

  • Family and Caregiver Training

  • Transportation (TRNO)

Sky Point allows the opportunity for those who are receiving Supported Living services to have a Preferred Caregiver serve as their staff. A Preferred Caregiver is a staff that the individual chooses to provide services to them. This could be a parent, grandparent, aunt, friend, teacher, former staff, and more! Not only does this benefit the individual as they already have a relationship with the Preferred Caregiver and feels comfortable with them, but it can also benefit the Preferred Caregiver. A parent serving as staff now gets the opportunity to earn an income without sacrificing the care of their loved one. To learn more, visit skypointindiana.com or call 260.492.9334.
